Joshua Tree National Park

If you don't know what joshua trees look like, here is one of them.

The park is popular for rock climbers for its exposed granite monoliths.

This is a garden of cactuses in front of a store in the town right outside
of the park. I have to say it's the most unfriendly garden I've seen --
you can't even get close to the plants, touch them, and smell them.

Ok, that's me with my tent, which has sheltered me from the rain every single night.

Rappelling down from the rock. See the water mark on the rock?
It hailed right after I got to the top (the platform above David).
Boy! Weren't I happy to have my rain coat with me!

Now I'm safe.
