   You are right it seems like forever since we last saw each other. Hope you are doing well. I’m still telling people up till this day about your truck that has a massaging passenger’s seat 🙂

   Hi Bob, thanks for the kind words! Talk about inspiration, you just inspired me to get back on my road bike soon. I have to, now that I know someone is watching me. Yes, let’s hook up and ride Bohlman someday. With all the endurance rides you do (wow, Furnace Creek 508 in Oct), I’m sure you’ll be in such a good shape that you’ll smoke up the hill!    Hey Mei,

   Sorry to be out of touch after our wonderful ride but the holidays cuaght up to me and then it was off to oregon. I really enjoyed meeting you and thank you for the kind words on your blog. I am always here to show you guys around and hopefully get abeer next time! i got a call from Tom and responded to him via text as I was in the SD airport when I got the message. Unfortunately, i did not jot down his #. Can you forward his info to me as he has my map and I was hoping he could just stick it in the mail for me.

   I hope we can ride together soon and maybe see your neck of the woods one day… Tell Erik hello for me and let him know how much I enjoyed riding with you guys. Maybe we’ll come out for Sea Otter!!

    Hi Mei,

    I stumbled across this when the California Condor’s link was sent to me. Had a nice trip down memory lane looking at pictures of us on Royal Arches and then playing around on Camp Four Wall, then to Moby Dick (I was done for the day, but you powered up Ahab to cap off a great day). Did we have a camera on EB El Cap about a year later? I don’t think so… I just remember some spanish speaking guys on our butts while we were on someone else’s butts and we all made pretty good time.

    I hope all is well with you, I’m still out there having fun as an occasional weekend warrior.

    Hello Mudworm,

    I’m coming into the SF area for a conference June 27-29 and am planning on extending my stay so I can ride! It looks like Skeggs has some great riding opportunities. Can you point me in a good direction for bike rental (I ride full suspension) and possible groups that may be out riding that I could hook up with for a ride or two? Any info is MUCH appreciated!

    I crashed my rc plane in a tree on bluff. I got a 70 ft rock climbing rope to go down and rescue it. It took me several days to prepare. It should be a piece a cake for you!I moved my family to Osceola, MO last Dec. We lived on bluff and it is a great place for rock climbing. I hope I could pick up climbing someday.

    Hi there,

    Love the new website! I was so sad today when I pulled up my ITunes account. I was with Brad, his wife and others the day that the Condors gave us a “private viewing” at the Pinnacles several years ago. Brad’s wife had created a short video for us after that trip and it was SO AWESOME. The unfortunate thing is that I tried pulling it up today from my ITunes account and the file could not be found. Is there anyway that she can forward it to me again?????

    I am taking a Field Biology class currently and we have a trip planned for the Pinnacles in a couple of weeks. One of the things we hope to see is a Condor. I mentioned the incredible job that Brad’s wife had done on the video and I promised to share it with them before our fieldtrip.

    Hi Tim, thanks for the kind words. Glad that you liked the Skeggs page. I figured that there are enough information and enough rides there to get a Skeggs newbie started, and once s/he has done most of those rides, s/he will be familiar enough with the trails to come up with own rides. …. Okay, I confess… the truth is I have not been riding much at all and have not had new interesting route to add. :biggrin:

    Thank you for your wonderful site. I downloaded two of your GPS tracks yesterday – ride 1 and 2 – and did them today. Couldn’t have found my way without you. I even raced you with my virtuel partner – you won. I think you did very fast on the final part of ride 2.

Climbers’ world is pretty small, but probably not that small as your friend had imagined. Also, I feel that we are almost like two generations of climbers as I now tell people “I used to climb.” I checked out your website and am very impressed with your determination in pursuing your dream, and you appear to be living your dream at the moment.     I was lucky enough to hit on your site after a search of the best mtb trails in the SF area and its obvious that you know this forest v well indeed. There is enough detail in your information to push me to visit – its a long way for me I’m in Scotland UK. Where would I base myself for a 2 week vacation, I’d just be coming out to ride, anyway I have leave in Sept and I’m starting to research. Thanks for the solid route info, just what I wished for !

    Thanks Michael for your kind words. Although we tend to go elsewhere for our road trip in the summer months, the Bay Area is really a great vacation destination for mountain biking almost all year round. Hope you make it out here. Holler if you need more information. MTBR NorCal board has a good local user base, which may be a good place for partner calls when the time is close.

    HI Vinzenz, sorry about the delayed reply. Hope you’ve gotten some information gathered. If you are in Palo Alto, my guess is Mike’s Bikes may have bike rental. If not, I know for sure that Passion Trail Bikes in Belmont has rental bikes. Bike rentals are not inexpensive here. I don’t know about group rides these days, but bike shops may provide some pointers. If you are not shy, give a shout out on MTBR: http://forums.mtbr.com/california-norcal/ . Best of luck!

    It was great to meet you at PGSF today. Thanks again for the help with the crack climb! Focusing more on careful foot placements and using more thumbs-up jams should help a lot as I work my way through learning all the PG crack climbs.

    Hi Jeff, thanks for connecting. Yes, I climb at PGSF or PGSV fairly regularly (on weekends when I’m in town) and look for partners last minute often (because I don’t plan ahead). I now have you on my contact list. Oh, google “peter croft thumbs up” and you’ll see that the advice came from the master. I’m still working on it myself. 🙂

    exciting reading of your Astroman trip from Oct15 last year. Really well written. Wanna be like you to be able to lead every pitch on Astroman, but far from that despite my HRV is twice higher than yours.
