A Champion of 24 Hours of Adrenalin

Today, Mr. Mud threw me out of the house so he could turn the house upside down without me getting in the way. We are emptying out the spare bedroom for my nephew’s arrival next weekend. I went and did a ride at Skeggs that I now call Skeggs Lite 2.0.

While he was going through the storage boxes, he found this picture.

I immediately took interest and asked for more details. That was from the year — 2002 — he won the 24 Hours of Adrenalin up in Snoqualmie, Washington. See how dirty his legs were? Why was the jersey so clean? Well, he put it on when he rode through the finish line as the proud winner of the year.

Sure enough, I found the race result on the official website.

He was shorted a lap, which showed in the detailed result. It almost sounded funny — When he went through, the race official was not even there to record his lap (after all, it was a long day for everyone)!

I know it’s a thing in the past, but still, what a feat! I’m so proud of him that I had to write a post for it now that I got a wonderful picture! 🙂
